Normally it depends on the dog’s size & how comfortable the dog is with the grooming process & what needs to be done.
Kate’s K9 Care approach will prioritize the dog’s experience with the objective to create a positive experience with as little anxiety as possible.
Kate takes breaks as the dog request/needs to keep the dog’s stress level as low possible.
The shortest amount of time could be 2-3 hours. Larger dogs or dogs with high anxiety, could be up to 4-6 hours.

Yes! We always pay careful attention to the dogs’ communication cues.
Dogs give warning signs that will be respected before they feel the need to bite.
We believe most dogs who have bitten previous groomers have been in the hands of people who
prioritize their schedule over the dog.
In some circumstances, we may recommend talking with your veterinarian to provide a sedative
as needed for your dog to ensure the safest grooms.
This is based on Kate’s assessment that she cannot proceed with normal restraints.
- 03
We cannot groom an extra-large dog (over 150 pounds).
Dogs that do not provide proof of required vaccination & are not treated for fleas & ticks.
We require proof before servicing all our dog clients to keep everyone as safe as possible.
